A Minor Eye Conditions Service (MECS) has been commissioned by the NHS with Primary Eyecare Norfolk & Waveney Ltd for the assessment and treatment for the following conditions.
Conditions
Red eye(s) or eyelids
Dry or gritty uncomfortable eyes
Irritation and inflammation of the eye
Recent, significant, sticky discharge from the eye(s)
Recently occurring flashes or floaters
Ingrowing eyelashes
Recent and sudden loss of vision (partial or total) to one or both eyes
Foreign body in the eye
Dry or gritty uncomfortable eyes
Irritation and inflammation of the eye

The Minor Eye Conditions Service is available only for patients 16yrs and over, who are registered with GP practices in North Norfolk, Norwich and South Norfolk ICB areas.
An appointment will normally be required to see one of the MECS registered Optometrists.
