Blood Test – Shortage

Unfortunately, there is a national shortage of equipment used for taking blood tests. Whilst alternative products are being sought NHS England have asked that all Primary Care blood testing must be halted until the 17th September 2021 except for urgent clinical testing.

We appreciate this temporary position is very frustrating for patients and services alike. With this in mind, the practice may contact patients to cancel their blood tests and ask that they are rescheduled for a later date.
